Candle packaging

If you’re a candle manufacturer, you’re responsible for billions of people being able to unwind at the end of a long day. Be it a summer night, a chilly autumn evening or a dark winter afternoon, candles instantly create the right atmosphere, so on behalf of all candle users worldwide, we thank you for creating such relaxing delights!

It’s without surprise that the candle industry has skyrocketed in the last decade, with candle creatives coming up with infinite candle types, styles and offerings. On such a competitive market, candle boxes matter too. People are not just buying things because of how it makes them feel, but more and more people care about how things look.

Candle boxes are not just a means to protect your candle. A candle box is not just that…a box. It’s an effective way to differentiate your products and highlight the best about your company, your recipes, your scents. So your candle creations reach and delight more people.

Below, we’ve prepared two candle boxes galleries with candle boxes & labels we’ve made for our clients, to give you a start for your own packaging.

1. Candle Boxes

While we have increased the use of candles, candle sizes have gone up too. Most candles are not a lightweight product (except tealight candles and other small candles such as taper candles). If you’re also pouring it into a fancy jar, chances are the end product needs a solid box to protect it.

You’re in luck! We have the right materials and more than 2 decades of experience to help you get safe and durable candle boxes for your aromatic creations.

Let’s see what that implies.

Choosing the Right Paperboard

The first step in creating appropriate candle boxes is to choose an adequate paperboard thickness to make sure it withstands the weight of your candle. While we offer five different paperboard options, starting from the thinnest paperboard at 17.2pt, for candle boxes we recommend a more solid paperboard:

Choosing the Right Bottom Closing

Next, just as important as paper is the closing style of the box. For candles we always recommend a lock bottom box or a crash bottom box. Both of these closing styles provide more structure to the bottom of the box than a regular straight tuck would provide.

By choosing either a lock bottom box or a crash bottom box for your candle box, you’ll be sure that your candle jars or any type of container you use will stay inside the box and the bottom won’t crash under the weight of the product.

Next, let’s browse the galleries and see what other candle makers like you are doing for their candle boxes.

2. Candle Labels

Besides customizing and protecting your candle with a candle box, the other candle packaging item we can help you with are candle labels.

With our brand shortrunlabels.com you can get candle labels in any shape & design you can imagine, in quantities as low as 250 pieces. We offer free lamination (matte or gloss) for all labels, and our prices are the same no matter the label material you choose:

All candle labels are waterproof, easy to peel and apply. They are usually delivered on rolls, but depending on the size of the label and quantity, some orders may be sent as sheets.

When it comes to design, you can get as creative as you want with your candle labels, from a simplistic approach to a vibrant one, we’re here for you.
